Here’s a nice review of our event from the Asahi Shimbun. We had 100 teams and 355 people competing on the day of the event. At the moment we have raised 1,018,000JPY for Oxfam Japan’s Tohoku relief which is absolutely fantastic!
What started as an idea between two people to grow as it has done is amazing. We will be holding another Tokyo Yamathon on Saturday 19th November and hopefully we will get even more people.
Big thank you to yourselves at National AJET for helping to promote our event. We had several JET and JETAA teams on the day. Hope you can join us again for our next event.
Next up will be sea-to-summit: The Ultimate Fuji Climb 2011( http://search.japantimes.co.jp/cgi-bin/nn20100805f1.html ), arranged for Saturday 16th July.
